West End Dining - The Hindley launches NEW Autumn menu

We usually associate Hindley Street with late night burgers, pizza and yiros after a boozy night in town. Hindley Street however is undergoing massive change due to recent capital works projects by the Adelaide City Council. The strip is turning into a culinary delight with the opening of a few new dining options in the city’s west.

The Hindley Bar and Grill situated at the bottom of the new HQ superclub venue is the hottest new all day dining destination in the CBD’s west. After opening in November 2017 as part of the $12 million HQ complex upgrade, the dining component of the venue has just launched a new Autumn menu. The venue brings the feeling of incredible space with soft lighting to create an ambient mood. You will find an impressive bar to the left as you enter as well as a coffee station upon entry meaning The Hindley can cater for your morning coffee as well as your after work beer or wine.

The Hindley Bar and Grill also has an elevated dining area complete with booths with provision for additional tables to ensure you can view the action happening at ground level. This area is complemented by modern art pieces displayed along the back walls. The aesthetics of the venue or clean and modern and it sets the tone for you to enjoy an amazing meal prepared by an enthusiastic kitchen crew lead by Head Chef Shane Piercy. You may have heard of Shane before as he has had an extensive and impressive career in the hospitality industry having worked in some of Adelaide’s well-known dining establishments including the Lion Hotel, Public Caffe and the Sauce Restaurant in Dulwich. With over twenty years’ experience, the new Autumn menu he has created for The Hindley is absolutely scrumptious!

You can expect locally sourced produce in this dynamic new menu featuring a lot of grilled and wood oven delights. The menu has been created offering larger size meals, Shane Piercy says “I designed this menu with sharing in mind”. Some of the highlights of the menu include their signature dish – 6 hour slow cooked Whole Lamb Shoulder served with duck fat potatoes. This dish makes you feel you are dining at your grandparents place as the whole menu has that whole home style cooking vibe. The home made Mint Jelly just complemented this whole dish. Other favourites of this revamped menu include wood oven roasted free range chicken, 1 Kg Rib Eye and wood oven pizzas that would make any Nonna proud. The Pizza dough is absolutely to die for as the kitchen crew have been working on perfecting their dough for the past three months utilizing the finest caputo flour.

The entrée options include fresh, locally caught seafood, as well as an impressive selection of tapas style food. But if you are after some of your regular pub classics, don’t despair there are also crowd favourites like schnitzels and burgers on offer. If you are a sweet tooth, they will also look after you with a sticky date pudding that will have you begging for more as well as other offerings including crème brulees and lemon tarts to name a few.

This is definitely one of this city’s hottest venues as it places itself as the ultimate destination for food, entertainment, functions and major events. Director Stephen Rose says, “There really is something for everyone at the new HQ Complex”. The Hindley Bar and Grill is not only open for lunch and dinner daily, but has extended its extensive offerings to include breakfast seven days a week and weekend brunch.
