Got plans for Anzac Day? If not, now you do!
The tradition of mateship is alive and well as the Legacy Foundation and Union Hotel partner to commemorate the ANZAC spirit with Australia’s oldest ANZAC Day street party on Waymouth Street on Wednesday, 25 April 2018, from 10am-late.
"No matter who you are, this is a day to remember and celebrate the tradition of mateship and camaraderie,” said Piers Schmidt, MD of the Union Hotel, “we have a lot to learn from the spirit of the diggers and are honoured to be the place that people come together to mark this important day.”
Large crowds are expected at the Waymouth Street Party, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Legacy Foundation, which supports the families of Veterans.
The street will come alive with beer & wine tents, food stalls, and the annual Legacy Foundation fundraising BBQ – all whilst enjoying live music throughout the day.
This year’s entertainment line up features Cornsey’s All Stars (with Graham Cornes), the Salt & Pepper Swing Band, SA Pipes & Drums, and the Mt. Barker Pipes & Drums, to help you get into the spirit of the day. For more information, please visit: www.theunionhotel.com.au or email: info@theunionhotel.com.au
